Sociology Position - SFU

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at SFU invites applications for a tenure-track position in sociology at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing September 1, 2014. This position is subject to budgetary and Board approval.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Sociology at the time of appointment, demonstrated scholarship, and a good record in undergraduate teaching. The candidates’ expertise should fall in one or more of the department’s five thematic areas of specialization (see Faculty Research Areas: https://www.socanth.sfu.ca ). Preference will be given to candidates able to and interested in teaching quantitative methods and introduction to social research.
