Journal Announcement: “Contemporary Judaism and Politics”

Dear colleagues,

I am very happy to inform you that the new issue of the Politics and Religion Journal is published and is available online. By the year of its first publication, PRJ is the first scientific publication in English dedicated to the emerging discipline of politology of religion. Topic of the last issue is “Contemporary Judaism and Politics”, which completed the volume X.

Therefore, the tenth consecutive year of publishing is completed. So far, PRJ gathered more than 120 authors and even more reviewers from all over the world. Many of them, along with members of Editorial Board and International Advisory Board, are affiliated with the prestige Universities, such are Santa Barbara, Georgetown, University of Warwick, Moscow State University, Roma Tre etc. Members of our team were/are IPSA’s president, presidents of Indian and South-African Sociological Association… just to mention few of them. They all helped PRJ to develop, and showed how political science were incomplete without politology of religion. Consequently, many conclusions of political scientist were wrong just because they failed to understand the connection between religion and politics. This can be seen from a fact that this discipline became a part of curriculum at University of Belgrade in the school year 1993/1994, and that the RC 43 for Religion and Politics within IPSA was founded in 1999. Usually, things goes the other way: firstly, RC are founded and after their results becomes a part of a scientific discipline.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the PRJ so far, and those who will join us in the future. This Journal belongs to them, and Editorial Board is just a service who is used to share their ideas of understanding and thriving toward peace between religions.
