Thomas Luckmann’s “Invisible Religion”

Dear colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that a classic in the sociology of religion, Thomas Luckmann’s Invisible Religion, has just been published after being out of print for a long time. Along with Berger’s Sacred Canopy (1967), it marked the turn to neoclassical sociology of religion. We have provided the book with a brief introduction and a new translation of Luckmann’s afterword to the 1991 German edition. His extended theory of transcendence involves a significant shift in emphasis in his sociology of religion.

You will find further information in the attached flyer, including a discount code from the publisher to purchase the book at a reduced price.
