Leverhulme Early Career Fellow scheme (University of Kent)

Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship Scheme

Call for Expressions of Interest for applications through the University of Kent

The Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship scheme provides funding for three year research fellowships together with additional funding for research project expenses. The scheme is intended to support the career development opportunities for post-doctoral researchers at an early stage of their careers who have a strong proven record of research.

The Department of Religious Studies at the University of Kent invites expressions of interest from researchers wishing to apply to this scheme through it. The expression of interest should include a statement of the intended programme of research to be undertaken during this Fellowship (up to 1000 words), which sets out the aims, significance, design and intended published outputs from this research. A full academic CV should also be submitted. Expressions of interest should be sent to Professor Gordon Lynch, g.lynch, by 22nd November 2013. The School of European Culture and Languages, of which the Department is a part, is planning to sponsor up to six applications to the 2014 round of this scheme, and final decisions about which applications the School will sponsor for submission to the Leverhulme Trust will be made before the end of December.

To be eligible to apply to this Fellowship scheme, applicants must have either been awarded a degree from a UK university by the time of taking up the Fellowship or currently hold a non-permanent academic post at a UK university. More details about the scheme, including more information on the eligibility criteria and application process, are available at https://www.leverhulme.ac.uk/funding/ECF/ECF.cfm
